'The SNP overturned a Labour majority of 13,507 to win with a swing of 22.54%.'

Do you think Brown will accept that Labour have no chance of winning come 2010?

  1. Pleasantly so, yes. Labour's got no chance of winning in 2010 or any other year from the position they're currently in.

I honestly thought that the majority they had would be just too big for the SNP to overturn.

Nice to be wrong, sometimes :)

Edit - Clive, I like your answers, I really do. But what your statement ignores is the money that Scotland shovels in. And that by head of population, South East England gets more spent on it than ANYWHERE else in the UK.

  2. Nope

  3. Frankly my dear....I don't give a darn.

  4. No, new labour does not represent the electorate of the UK.

    Well done the SNP!!

new labour are so deluded & out of touch who knows what they think, I'm certain they do not know themselves...

  5. I have left the Country who cares.

Now living in Canada which is great!

  6. no, because like the Markets, Labour is in a downturn, and WILL (unsless idiots vote Labour in again) be out

  7. In the present political climate both here in Englaterra and also in Soctland, I'm not surprised that a hefty Labour majority got turned over in a byelection.

Frankly, I do not think that Labour give a d**n about the people.  They just want to keep on getting voted in and doing nothing much when they do.

The unemployment and grinding poverty continues unabated.  Yet these so called 'socialists' have had power over UK for more than 8 years.  What the h**l have they been doing with my money?

Here in London about £3.5Billion is sent to Scotland each year.  You would imagine that some of that money would reach the folk who need it most - but no.

So my advice to the folk up north in Soctland is to keep on voting SNP until you get what you want, because Labour are not going to give you anything and never have - it's all a farce.

  8. Not surprised.....but payback time will come.

  9. No I am not surprised at all.I think that if we had a general election today I doubt very much that Labour would win a single seat anywhere in the country.Browns leadership can only be described as an unmitigated disaster. If he had a spark of decency in him he would resign today and give his party at least a chance of regaining some dignity.

  10. No, bye elections seldom reflect what happens at general elections.

Less than half the voters turned out, that doesn't say much for the quality of any of the candidates.
