  1. From your link: "Overall, voters expressed a favorable impression of her by a 53/26 margin, but there was a severe gender gap on this: Men embraced her at 58% to 23%, while for women it was 48/30."

48% to 30% of women in favor of her is pretty good.

    Do you READ these things?

actually, that was only Democratic women 9% of whom said they'd be more likely to vote for McCain and 15% of whom said not.  Do you think he figured to get them all?

I like Palin ok, but she's a bit evangelical to me which I'm wary of next to the Constitution. Not that evangelicals shouldn't be President, they should just follow separation of church and state.

However, I won't vote for McCain.  I'm voting 3rd party for the first time in my life.  The constitution is a deal breaker with me.

  2. Not at all.

Women are women- Not just female fools!

  3. Not surprised, but gratified.

McCain seems to think women are easily manipulated, and stupid.

She's so not a force to be reckoned with, just a calculated choice that backfired.

  4. Not in the least.

She may be a woman, but she is hardly a women's candidate.

  5. No, she is not aligned with most women

  6. Yes, Absolutely

  7. No I am not surprised. The choice of Palin is not pandering to women. It is an effort to re-energize the base of the Republican party which is giving her RAVE reviews, and to reach out to the guntoting churchgoers who voted for Clinton over Obama.

  8. no--she's a pawn.

  9. Too bad they didn't give the polls a chance to have updated information.

There have been significant changes in perception of John McCain in the two days of polling since he named Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. Since then, 49% of Republicans voice a Very Favorable opinion of McCain. That’s up six percentage points from 43% just before the announcement. Also, 64% of unaffiliated voters now give positive reviews to McCain, up ten points since naming his running mate.

  10. They don't know her either so they will say that. Give them a month or so to get used to her and hear her speak then see where the polls are. I recall joe bidens poll numbers right after he was picked weren't all that wonderful either.

  11. Considering that all you know about her is the BS on the lefty blogs, its not surprising. Lets wait until after the convention.

She's not a baby-killer or socialist like most women, so she won't appeal to everyone.

She only needs to get 3-4% of women to sway the election.

  12. Please qualify your question...the Gallup poll was a poll of DEMOCRATIC women. Shocked you left that part out...

  13. We need reform in this country.  She'll speak her mind.  Spending is out of control.  She's worked with budgets and represents moral responsibility, something the people have forgotten.  It's really nothing to do with her s*x.
