Are you taking Effexor XR? Did it affect your sexual desire?

I'm taking 300 mg and it has completely killed my sexual desire so I wanted to check if it's a common side effect.

when i first took paxil, i could not climax for the first couple of weeks i was on it....but i am doing okay now... if that is some kind of anti depressant, then the probabilities are that it is just a side effect..It usually goes away after a few weeks.

my girlfriend takes 300 mg of effexor xr also.... for years now. and yes, it has completely killed her s*x drive. it is a common side effect, sorry.

there is an over the counter vitamin she has started taking which is specifically for people who take effexor (buys it at walgreens, but its probably everywhere) which helps a little. you could always talk to your doctor too, maybe there is another way to help.

I'm not taking it but decreased s*x drive is extremely common with anti-depressants.
