  1. I'm absolutely not the same religion as my parents. They were Christian, I am agnostic.

What caused me to think differently? Hmm.... well, I don't believe something unless I have solid evidence. I always thought it was silly when people blindly believed in something... my parents included. I don't care for faith and fallacy.

Also, I'm not a big fan of how quickly Christians d**n other people to h**l.

  2. yes all my family are christians and i wouldnt be if they wernt too.

i am glad because otherwise i wouldnt have so many friends i met through my church that i go to every week!

  3. My parents and brother are all Christian (although they don't go to church regularly) and I am agnostic.  I think my beliefs might have come from my scientific background as well as the bad things I've seen various churches do to my family and friends.

  4. My parents raised me Christian and I was very devout in my beliefs until I was about 30 years old. Then I started to seriously question everything I had been taught, and I began studying and researching. I went through such a long journey I finally wrote a book about it called Christian No More, which, as you can probably guess, talks about why I left the religion, never to return, and how others can leave too. Today I mainly call myself an atheist, although some people might consider my beliefs "agnostic".

So originally my answer would be "No, I'm not the same as my parents." But guess what -- my sister and I have convinced our father to give up the religion too. And he's no longer a Christian either. (I'm not sure about my mother though.)

  5. No im not. Everyone in my family is a very strong christian. I am an Agnostic. I just never believed the bible or any of the things I was told during the brainwashing process (church/sunday school). Also every single person on this earth is ignorant about how we got here and is there or is there not a god so I chose to believe that I am ignorant and wont tell people things I do not truly know.

  6. Same as my parents, grandparents, and probably farther back.

    Husband is also the same.

Tried to fight against it in teen years, looking for something different, I suppose, but realized it was the best for me after all.

  7. My mom is a Christian and that is how I was raised.  Over the past year or so I have become more agnostic.  I am in a place of searching, and my mom fully supports me

  8. My parents are Christians, as am I.

  9. I was brought up in a very Atheist family.

I was Atheist up until this year, now I'm not sure. I don't believe I fit into Atheism, Agnostic or any religion. I'm still learning about different religions and beliefs although I am yet to decide which one is right for me.

    ...

  10. No,my parents are catholic,and I am Athiest,

  11. My parents are Christians, I was raised Christian. I went through my horrible teen years and did everything imaginable, mostly to bother my religious family. A lot has happen to me and that brought me back to sitting in church every Sunday next to my mom and dad. I guess I was one of those people who needed to see a miracle before I could believe God existed and I did.

I also agree with whoever said Christians are quick to make judgements, most are. I still get judged even though I came back. But that's not what it's about. It's not about the people or the rules. I still don't agree with everything. I just believe in God.

  12. No. My parents and family are Catholic and attend Mass every Sunday without fail.

    I am agnostic.

I don't believe in the god they believe in even though I know that there is something.

One of the reasons I don't believe as they do is because of some of the stances the Church has on certain issues. I find it hypocritical and the thought of there being a "h**l" for "bad" people makes me roll my eyes. I don't believe there are "bad" people in this world.

When my mother asked me about my beliefs I told her honestly that I don't believe in god. She was very unsupportive and I have to go to Mass until I move out.

  13. I am the same as Lily.

  14. My parents are Catholic and i am agnostic because i realized that you just can't prove god so why the heck should i pretend i absolutely KNOW that there IS a god.

  15. Well im a catholic! so are my mum and day nd sisters!

I dont know what agnostist is though?

    What is it?
