Are you tired of disaster news?

Day after day, week after week...we see news of natural events causing woe to many. Do you ever tire of this? Shouldn't the news skip natural events, and instead focus only on things we should be aware of? I mean, storms, floods and earthquakes have nothing to do with 99% of us, so why tell us about it?

It's to help 'put the word' out - Remember New Orleans?

They would have been in more of a disastrous state without

the media's help.

More people were rescued as a result, and people were more

empathetic/sympathetic to the plight of the people who'd suffered.  We DO need to know about these things.

If it had something to do with you, you'd be wondering where the help was.  If there were no planes, or cameras, they couldn't find you and help you.

because it would be selfish and wrong of us to live in our own little safe world and not be made aware of what is happening in other places...

because we are human.. and that word makes up the first five letters of HUMANITY.... we need to be aware of the fate of other people ... because if we don't care about them .. and we don't know about them and we therefore don't help them .. How could we possibly expect ANYBODY else to give a d**n about us if we don't care about others .

What if the area you were in suddenly suffered an earthquake and you needed help ... BUT nobody else in the world had heard because they were too self absorbed in their own little world

I actually got a kick out of seeing that guys vacation home get washed away. Greedy joker you only need one house. Some people dont even have that. Some people are losing there homes. His second one washed away too bad.

Hold ON a minute! Give me an Example of a Newsworthy Item where MORE people are Dying, Losing their Homes, or seeing their Livelihood ruined- than by Natural Disasters!!! Does YOUR House have to be "Totalled" by an Earthquake or a Tornado- before it "means anything"-to You ??! If YOU "don't want to hear it" -then turn the TV "Off", & stick your Head back in the Sand.... -and pray to GOD, that the NEXT name that shows up on the 11 'o Clock News- isn't YOURS !!!  :0

Seems funny unless it happened to them in their lives people just don't care or think about it they rather worry about their elections,the war, and buyingtheir new hybred.  It's a sad world and God will get us!
