Are you tired of hearing that Americans are sore losers?

Esp. on here. I keep seeing answers to gymnastic ? especially that the U.S. are sore losers, but then go on to say Australia judges or the Chinese can't be blamed for one person/ judge. Well, same for us Americans. I think Nastatia could have smiled a little more, but she knew she was ripped off. That doesn't make her a sore loser, esp. because she was a winner. Silver is nothing to look down on, however a dream of hers was tarnished so yeah she's going to be a bit upset. How is that a sore loser. Throwing your bronze medal on the ground like what's his name in wrestling is a sore loser.

  1. I think there are valid points, such as China's gymnasts being potentially underage or Liukin's heartbreaking silver medal.  However, Yahoo Answers is not the place for rants or chatting, as that is violating community guidelines.  I'm mostly fed up with the same exact questions that are directly violating Yahoo Answers.  If you have a problem and want to vent it, go to a forum.  Yahoo Answers is supposed to be used to get serious known answers, not talk about what should've happened.  In addition, people should really start using the search option rather than posting the same exact question over and over again.

A valid question is, "what is the minimum age for women's gymnastics" or "how does the gymnastics scoring and tiebreaker work," not "OMFG SHE GOT ROBBED OMFG THEY ARE UNDERAGE."

Illegal Man Crush: You sound just as immature as those you are talking about.

EDIT:  For every thumb's down, we have someone who is unwilling to follow Yahoo Answers' guidelines apparently.

  2. You're generalizing. Personally, I don't blame Australia or China for the tiebreaker...but Nastia Liukin scored the same as He Kexin and deserved a gold medal as well. It came down to the second lowest score being dropped and that's why Nastia "lost" which is the most ridiculous reason when Nastia's 9.3 was dropped and He's 8.9 was dropped. Nastia never scored that low and He never scored that high.

  3. I agree totally. She is not a sore loser. She got ripped of and knew she did.

  4. I think she was just confused. That's understandable.

  5. What do you think?

You're definitely right-medalists should appreciate their special talent and not thrust their medal on the ground like "what's his name".

  6. Some posters here are acting like sore losers. It's not in general but still some indeed are just looking for excuse. Nastia wasn't a loser she was great but the coach was just.... I don't know. She kept saying "those little babies" to the Chinese...

  7. Yep. I am really sick and tired of the whole "Americans are sore losers" crapola on here. How many times and how many ways can you post that it is not being a sore loser to demand that EVERY country be held accountable for cheating? If you cheat, you should not be rewarded for it. If you cheat, you should be stripped of your resulting medals, be announced to the world as a cheat, and the individual who cheated should be banned from sporting competitions for life. I don't care what flag you represent! How is that being a "sore loser?"

  8. Agreed.

And, if she were a sore loser, she would have smashed He's face with her flowers. She didn't.

  9. Claire, you are totally right.

but you have to remember, the people that call the U.S. sore losers are generally little jealous kids whos country has a low metal counts so they are looking to scapegoats such as the U.S.

The only losers i see are the crybabies who whine about the U.S.

  10. RIGHT ON DUDE!!!  RIGHT ON!!!!

    :]

  11. Nastia is anything BUT a sore loser!!!!

I think the Americans, are looking are a reason and outlet to vent out their frustration!

A sliver medal is an amazing accomplishment, it means your are 2nd out of 6 billion people!

  12. If any athlete feels like they were ripped off then they're not going to be smiling much, throwing away your medal is being a sore loser.

The scoring systems need to be changed I don't think it is fair to the athletes, the competition for gymnastics is not just one attempt so if you score better on your first attempt you shouldn't automatically get a higher place.

  13. hey, check out the whiny jealous crybabies who checked in to spread lies about the U.S. because their country sucks.

We new them foreigner couldn't resist being *******.  That's what they win gold at, being lying sore loser jerks.

  14. "Throwing your bronze medal on the ground like what's his name in wrestling is a sore loser."

    true dat

its understandable how nastia was dumbfounded by getting the silver when she earned the gold
