  1. Good luck

  2. I agree. From now on we should buy electric cars or cars that run on corn oil. If we don't do something about this oil crisis, our country could fall apart. On top of that it is bad for the environment.

    I'm with you man!

  3. fuel strikes never last no matter the circumstances because america has emergencies everyday n' such and those people buy gas to get to the scene. I heard about that trucker strike and I heard it didn't turn out so good, I forget why but I use to be a dispatcher for a trucking company and I heard that one day. Nice try tho- truckers gotta keep on truckin~! I know where your comming from tho- once the truckers stop then America goes hungry I understand.

  4. No I have stock in Exxon, Murphy, British Petroleum, Royal Dutch Shell and numerous others. Why would I be tired of rising fuel prices?

  5. Unless you can get all of China to join your strike, there's no point.

Hah, you Americans. You don't know half how lucky you are in terms of fuel prices, taxes, and whatnot.

Start by buying a more fuel-efficient car instead of all those d**n SUVs. That's a much more positive way to handle it than some pointless fuel strike.

  6. Great Idea!  Don't buy gas on weekends or for three days. Perhaps everyone could purchase gas from a company that has the lowest price in their neighborhood. Check your zip code and gas prices for the least cost on the computer. Boycott the higher priced gas stations. This would send a message for high cost gas. If something isn't done we won't be able to afford to go to work!

  7. nah it decreases drive-by-shootings alot around here. now we just have drive-by-skating

  8. Nice sentiment but it won't work. The only effective way to do this is to target one manufacturer at a time. Determine which is the highest priced brand of gas, then tell everyone to boycott that station until it's no longer the highest. Then we'll move on to the next highest. Most of us can't stop buying gas and many can't even significantly reduce the amount they use. We can all decide to avoid certain brands. This will make a difference if we are united.

  9. try an experiment ,get on channel 19 and ask what is the best way to get to memphis. after the 45 minute arguement subsides ,ask yourself why truck drivers won"t pull together as a team to drive down fuel costs.

  10. YES

  11. yes very much so

  12. The gas prices are not only going up because of vehicle consumptions buddy. A lot of products are derived from oil such as plastic. I don't think it will even put a scratch in reducing the cost. I wish it was this easy too

I say we stop buying from china... ha

  13. that sounds all good and dandy but um people have stuff to do work to go to, children to take to school, and many other things that we have to do. not only that but not enough people are gonna see this for anyone to care.that really is a good plan, but don't get your hopes up on it pulling through.

  14. Its going down  finally in Rancho cumango.. by ontario,Ca

    I saw unlead at $3.19

which is like ten cents cheaper then where I live ($3.25) lowest..

  15. i'm absolutely tired of it, but americans don't want to give up their dependence on foreign fuel - it would mean a little sacrifice, like not having 3 cars per family & giving up huge suvs that people don't need - i mean, what the h**l do you need a hummer for if you live in a big city & i see plenty of them in nyc

  16. I fully agree.  That's why I drive a VW Jetta diesel that gets 47mpg.  But, as long as you have all the SUV's and big pick up trucks that people drive for fun instead of work, or sports cars and other gas-guzzlers, what odds do  you think we  have?  I remember back in the '70's when we had our first "fuel crisis", we seriously cut back our driving, and cut the highway speed to 55mph, and the auto companies  quit making their gas guzzlers and replaced them with "hatchbacks" that got much better gas mileage.  Now, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Hyundai, etc., etc., etc., manufacture gas-guzzling vehicles, and the highway speed limit went up to 70mph (some even more than that).  Our senses are going to have to be turned around here.  I remember my previous car was a VW Rabbit diesel 5-speed that got 57 (yes, I said fifty-seven) miles per gallon at 55mph.  I had to give it up after an on-the-job accident cost me my leg and I could no longer drive standard transmissions.  But, back to your question.  YES, we can do it, IF we really want to do it.  But what are all the owners of SUV's, and sports trucks and sports cars and "mini"-vans, etc., going to use as an excuse for why they still "HAVE TO" continue driving their gas-hogs.  And just think, back in the '70's, the gas prices didn't even hit $1.00 per gallon before we caught on.  I wonder just how high people are willing to keep seeing the gas prices go up before they get rid of their gas hogs, and start learning more sensible driving skills instead of "jack-rabbit" starts from stop signs ant red lights, and return to 55mph, and stop using their air-conditioners when it gets uncomfortably hot.   Otherwise, you'll see $4.00 per gallon very soon, even down here in Texas.  God Bless you.
