ok so i was watching tv and frankly mcdonald's lies. its advertises all this stuff for a dollar, and so does wendy's. yet they do not say that its only at certain locations. Here its not a dollar. its $1.09 before tax, so technically isn't that false advertising?

  1. yep, unless there is a disclaimmer in very small print, at the bottom of the screen-or billboard or-signage at a location.

is this a battle you want to pick?

are you the lady who ordered a cup of coffee and it ended up on her lap and she's a moro-?

  2. A bit false.  They know that $1 is the magic number to get someone into the restaurant.

  3. Legally they can say and do anything they want. There are no laws against it. If you walk past a dress shop and the dress says $100 in the window and you walk in to purchase the dress. When you get to the cash register they can tell you $200. And there is nothing you can do.

It is their merchandise, they own it, and they are at will to change, add, or modify prices at any time.

  4. Maybe, unless at the bottom or something it had taxes included

  5. pretty much..i guess..
