Don't get me wrong, I'm a transplant Bostonian living in San Francisco and LOVE my Sox, but even I'm getting tired of this rivalry. Too much of a good thing can be a poison. I'd much rather see them play in the playoffs with something on the line other than bragging rights. Ya ya save your comments about tradition and ratings, it' non existent here on the West coast but is too over hyped in the media. I'm just saying.

  1. YOUR CORRECT 100%  MORE EXCITING GAME'S IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE RACE'S.

  2. I Like watching Yankee and Red Sox don't get me wrong but i like to watch other games also

  3. nope never

  4. I'm sure you're just as sick as the Giants/Dodgers rivalry. I love our rivalry with the Yanks but it's annoying when it's all ESPN ever talks about.

  5. Yes. That and the Cubs playing anybody. Always seem to be the games of the week...

  6. No, but I'm tired of seeing 90% of the questions in here about it.

  7. Even as a Yankee fan I am surprised by how much ESPN covets the games between these two teams. There are, after all, other teams just as press worthy. I would rather watch them regionally on YES Network anyway.

  8. Never, ever, ever. I love the rivalry. But I have to agree that ESPN and Fox need better things to obsess over, though. If I have to hear Joe Buck mention one more unaccurate piece of information about the Yankees and the Red Sox in his biased broadcast on Fox, I might have to go rip his throat out.

    You know, in a non-harmful, non-threatening way...

  9. I love the Yankees and appreciate the Yanks-Red Sox rivalry like most real deal baseball fans. But I do think it's been pushed too hard, moslty by the folks at ESPN. I mean, it is the best rivalry in the game, but I think too many moves in each game are overanalyzed and the regular season games are overhyped. I mean, you'd think the Joba Chamberlain-Kevin Youkilis event from Friday was going to lead to World War III. When if it was any other two teams - even good ones like the White Sox and Twins - such an incident wouldn't get half the media attention.

Simply put, I think we should care about and celebrate the rivalry. But let's not put too much stock into every game played between them.

  10. We can blame ESPN for a good chunk of that.

  11. YES. There are actually more than 2 teams in MLB. Surprising I know.
