Are you tired of trying to save the planet?

Question

I mean, before we buy anything, we have to check out the labels to see if it 'natural', and we worry about the emissions, if it's recyclable, if 'slave labour' was involved, was any person or animal involved with it's testing....The list goes on and on. It now takes me an hour to buy something that used to take me 2 minutes. It drives me crazy and I am to the point of saying "Stuff the Planet"!!!

somehow, considering the tone of the question, i seriously doubt you've ever spent 2 minutes checking labels,  much less an hour.  it would seem that your question does not pass the 'truthiness' test.

Yeah, especially when it comes from some some mutt who burns more energy in a day than most people do in a year. Besides, some of this "green" c**p tastes like newspaper in the rain. This guy shows a picture of some ice breaking, and we're supposed to change our lives. I've looked at the docks on the East River and the beaches in Florida, and I don't see where the tide has gone up an inch, let alone 23 in.

I'm not going to address every point you made, but:

Emissions:  Watch the Olympics this week and pay attention to how much pollution is in the air there.  Do you want that here?

Recyclable:  I have no idea if we'll run out of aluminum, etc. in 10 days or in 10,000 years - that's not my field of expertise.  But I will say I'm sick of paying high energy prices.  It takes more energy to mine for aluminum than to recycle it.  So recycling will somewhat reduce demand for energy, which will somewhat reduce prices.  It's really not that hard to do.
