Are you too embarrassed to use coupons at restaurants?

So you take someone special out on a date at a nice restaurant, and right before the waiter goes to get your bill you pull out a 10% off coupon?? Just seems weird to me.

How do you feel on this issue?

  1. Although coupons are promotional techniques used by restaurants and I would not feel bad about using one when taking a family member of a friend to dinner, a date is different. A 10% is just too little, it would make you seem .....cheap. You should probably save your coupon for another occasion, if its a date for two and the bill is no more that $30, then a coupon would not have a great impact on your overall tab.

Oh yeah, whether you use it or not is up to you. Also, TIP YOUR SERVER!!! It looks rude not to, specially on a date.

  2. It really depends. I really dont see coupons for what you talking about. Unless your at McDonalds or something.

  3. If its for a date no I wouldn't do it....if its an everyday thing..then thats fine.

  4. Well, on a date you should stay away from coupons. Go somewhere else lol. But, not on a date or with someone you feel comfortable with, whip that coupon out!

  5. i dont see why people get so obsessed over it,

i mean we all want to save some money huh?

  6. I don't. The more you use it, you will feel more comforable. It is just like you use coupons when you are shopping.

  7. It seems a little off for a first date, but in general, why would we fault anyone for saving a few bucks?

  8. not even the first 3 dates, after that, heck yes! Why not? And tip your server BEFORE the deduction, please

  9. It's nothing big actually.

It's the whole point of the invention of coupons; to save money.

If the date feels weird about it, that's their problem, really.

Saving a couple dollars is a wonderful thing.

  10. depends how long you have been datin the person,

eww NEVER if youre on a date... unless u throw it in there without her noticing, i guess.

that would be a major turn off...

if youve been datin a while, who cares.

  11. I think its great to save money on a date or whenever you can.I think people should just be their self and not get embarassed so easy.and not pretend to be something you're not.if someone is going to like u then they will like you anyway.Just bve you at all times and if someone don't like you then oh well.

  12. used one once but not on a date but it makes you look cheap

  13. I wouldn't be embarrassed..

  14. I'd be clever about it.  I'd somehow slip the coupon to him if I had it on a date.  So yes I would be embarrassed.  If I was trying to impress a girl I wouldn't be flashing the coupons.  That's what married people do.  Not people who are dating.

  15. Hey! Money is money. If I had a way to save a few bucks so we could do something great later, I would do it!
