Question:

Are you unemployed?

Have your benefits run out? After 34 years of hard work I find myself unemployed. I'm sick of hearing about people that over extended themselves with big houses and even bigger mortgages looking for a bail out. Why isn't extending the benefits for unemployment being talked about anymore?

  1. Yes, I know what you mean.  I too am tired of hearing about people who over extended themselves and are now getting bailed out.  To me, this is teaching no one anything, except, oh boy, we can do whatever we want and always get bailed out!  Don't ask me why we are bailing people out, but I think it's wrong.  Also, I think the idea that these people claim they simply didn't know they were getting in over their heads is ridiculous.  Of course they knew!  They knew and either didn't care, or they figured someone would help them when things got really hot.  And you know what?  They were right!

As for extending unemployment, you see we cannot do that because all the money is going to those who over-extended themselves with fancy cars, fancy houses, etc.  Suffice it to say that life is VERY UNFAIR much of the time, and that really is so frustrating and depressing.  It seems those who have a lot keep getting more and more, and those who should NOT be bailed out, ARE, and those who really need a little good fortune NEVER seem to get it.  Unfortunately, there is little you can do about this but it IS frustrating beyond belief!  Perhaps you can get some kind of a job eventually, but I realize that it probably won't be making the salary you were previously.  This country is based on greed and the ongoing promotion of it!  I think darker times for the country as a whole are ahead.
