  5. No, not at all.

    In Texas you have a Starbucks store across the street from a Starbucks.

    In Virginia there is a shopping ceneter with a Starbucks store in it and the next shopping center 500 yards up on the same side of the street has one inside of a supermarket.

    In PA there is a shopping center that has a Starbucks store and one inside the bookstore.

    There are examples just like this all over the country. Even when they were raking in the money this was simply extremly stupid. Now that the economy is down and people have discoverd that there are other and better places to get coffee it is completely moronic to keep all of these places open.

    In fact it is so stupid that they should shut down the entire chain for being so dumb.

  8. No.  Even here in Britain I think there are too many of them in some places.  Where I live in Birmingham there are THREE all within a 10--minute walk of each other.

    I only feel bad for the staff who will lose their jobs.

  9. I was in total shock to learn that the Starbukcs in my neighborhood was on the list of 600. I reside in a city of about 200,000 and we have quite a few Starbucks around town, yet our very own was not spared. I just made a site taking a poll on who's being affected and how they feel. I'm interested in your feedback about the possibility of voicing all of our concerns to the Starbucks headquarters to see if they maybe reconsider. Hey...you never know until you try.

    There are thousands over the states but I suppose non of us will feel the 'clinch; until they close them.

  18. For people in big cities there are several others so this may not effect them,but in some smaller areas,there may not be other stores. If the only Starbucks in your area closed, how upset would this make you?
