Also, do you think it's possible it could really happen.

We did have some bad floods last summer.?

I'm with you, I love disaster films and with the technology we have, they can make most things look so real.  Poor old Robert Carlyle having to do all that underwater stunts.  I think the chance of this really happening is fast becoming a probability rather than a possibility.

Where I live, in the West Country, although I am 3 miles from the sea (Atlantic Ocean) if we have a surge like that I won't be affected by it as I live on a hill, but thousands of people below me will suffer. I think we should all take responsibility for our own safety as far as possible.  I think it would be wise to always keep tinned foods in, a separate means of heat, cooking. Candles etc.  Then if the awful thing should happen, we can at least manage to cope for a few days, while the rescue services are running around like headless chickens.

Seen it on DVD is a good film but i don't think it could happen to that extent

I watched it and thought it was brilliant, I love natural disaster dramas like that.  I would suspect there would be a possibility of that happening, you can never predict the weather and its effects.
