It's much more effective to use the phone lines - let your elected officials know your views, back them up with statistics (especially effective if you're using the government's own stats) and see them squirm.

I protest it to a Manager of what ever establishment I'm in that has OBVIOUS illegals working there.

I then follow through with my threat of NOT shopping there again until the situation is rectified.

I also call the police dept, and send a letter to Immigration, ICE or whatever they are called now.

It is the ideology-minded, conformist elite ultra-liberals that are in this "comfort zone". They want wholesale "change" to consist of people not being responsible for their own actions, growing an already out-of-control welfare state, "sanctuary cities" and inane tax-payer funding for the education of illegals. The reason elected officials and others won't protest any actions against this insanity is fear of being branded "non-progressive" and yes-racist! The liberally-biased press would vilify (or ignore altogether) these actions anyway.

TO DEAN: After your "medicinal" marijuana wears off understand that you speak of two entirely different issues. Illegal immigrants want our jobs and lifestyle while Iraqi terrorist primitives simply want us all dead because we do not wish to conform to their "religious" philosophy. I'm more concerned with the corrupt administration of President Bush and how he and Cheney are holding open our front doors while the corrupt leaders of corporate America are looting our homes. I'm also more concerned with the fact that all of our manufacturing jobs are going to China and nobody is doing anything about it. I'm also more concerned with our nut job President who invaded the wrong country and allowed Osama bin Laden to get off scott free after he attacked America.

I am a retired Police Officer from the Ca. Az. Mexico border. I have turned over illegals from every country in the world to the Border Patrol. Many times early in my shift I would turn over an illegal to the B.P. they would process them and return them to Mexico, they would walk two blocks from the Port of Entry, go through the hole in the fence and in a matter of a few hours I was turning the same illegal back over to them. What many do not get is that they walk pass the farms and are heading for the cities. Does anyone recall the Farm Workers Union. The majority of farm workers are making over $12.00 an hour. Los Angeles inner city is estimated that the illegal population from Mexico is over one million. Ca. cannot agree on a budget. The Dems. refuse to stop deficit spending and the Republicans refuse to raise taxes. Illegals cost Ca. about four billion a year in welfare. In Imperial and San Diego Counties the hospitals are hanging on by a thread. All along the border states hospitals are going out of business because of unpaid hospital bills by illegal aliens from Mexico. The leaders already know we don't support illegal immigration. They don't care. The place to let them know is at the polls.

Absolutely not!  I love having to keep my garage door closed at all times to keep undocumented immigrants from helping themselves to whatever they can carry while they leave the neighborhood after a landscaping job.
