  1. no - i am not willing to listen to people who's only reason to be interested in me is to convert me to their faith.

as a Pagan, i don't try to convert anyone.  if someone wants to know more, i will share.  manipulating someone to believe as i believe is wrong, imho.

  2. No and no

  3. Only if their arguments are based on reality, not religious scripture. I don't try to convert people. I just correct them when they're wrong.

  4. Sure, but I'll try to convert them to Pastafarianism or the Church of the One Winged Angel of Latter Day Summons.

  5. personally not usually

and personally i wish for ppl guidence and just trying to let them at least understand.....

  6. no to both...this is discussion..

  7. all religions guides people to live a systamatic and decent life, and essence of all religions is the same that is love all serve all respect lord and get to him after death.

if people change religions it means either they are in ignorance bcoz god is only one, if they change religions what really they r changing ? changing god (who is only one) or changing way of leanding a decent life.

convertion is a foolish act whether it is from my religion to other religion or the opposite.

  8. I will listen to them for 30 minutes if they will listen to me for 30 minutes afterward.

  9. I get very bored when people try to convert me.  They never seem to focus on the questions that I think are interesting, and if I ask they never have adequate answers.

And no, I don't try to convert people to my religion.  I talk about my religion sometimes, but only my own experience of it, and not with a view to converting people.

  10. Only if they are willing to continue to listen to my vehement attempts to repeatedly deny their request.

I do not try to convert any one to my beliefs...

They wouldn't be appropriate or suitable for a majority of people.

  11. No, and yes, no because I already have the truth and am already on the road to heaven, and yes because they are on the road to h**l and I am trying to warn them and steer them to the road to heaven. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9oSHQ3HG...

  12. Yes, I like the back and forth dialog, it makes me sharper on what is true.

  13. I am interested if they bring empirical evidence.

  14. No, and no.

  15. no and no

I don't try to convert and I don't care for people who try and do it to me

  16. I don't covert any body I don't pressure any body. and no i will not be converted to any body else's religion I hate it when people try

  17. Generally not (for both questions). I've investigated a lot of spiritual traditions and am content w/ the belief system I have.

I do encourage people to seek their own truth and tell or show them what I've done if asked. I always tell them to start w/ their own traditions and to explore them thoroughly.

  18. No.  I politely tell that I am quite comfortable with my current beliefs and then wish them well.

I do not try to "convert" people to my way of thinking.  If I don't wish to be subjected to proselytizing efforts, then I will extend that courtesy to others.

  19. No to both of your questions.

  20. I listen constantly to people trying to convert me to their atheism, or religion, or politics.

It goes with having an open mind.

Besides, it is a way for me to put my own beliefs up for scrutiny, and see if they stand the light of day.

  21. Jesus, only, because I hear his voice and follow him.  He is the resurrection and the Life.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

  22. Yes, I'll listen to people try to convert me. I'll do it because it's very intresting to hear what people have to say about me being Wiccan. But no, I wont try to convert anyone. If someone asks about my religion I'll tell them about it, but with no intentions of getting them to convert.

  23. Yup, I welcome it all the time. If they succeed then obviously I've not been following the right thing, if not I thank them for strengthening my own religious convictions.

I will teach anyone about Buddhism (my sect) who wants to listen. If they want to know more or start a practice, they are MORE than welcome to join me. If they show no interest in knowing, I don't talk about it.

  24. Absolutely. Everyone is entitled to their right to speak and to hold a different opinion. As long as the conversation is respectful I don't have a problem with it.

I've never tried to persuade someone to change their beliefs. What's right for me may not be right for them. Who am I to decide this?

  25. Yeah.  It's loads of fun.

  26. simply to be polite, and then I politely expect them to listen to me.

  27. No, they haven't a sensible word to say.

I am free of religion, I never was afflicted by it.

  28. Yes I listen.  No I don't convert.

  29. Depends on who the person(s) is.

  30. I have listened for hours to people trying to convert me to the Democratic Party, to being pro-abortion, to being New Age, you name it.

I have never tried to convert anyone.

However, if someone asks me about God, we're off and rolling.

  31. Sure, why not.  They're well-intentioned.  I don't know why everyone thinks there is something so sinister about it.
