I'm g*y and have a lot of g*y friends, and sadly we don't like opera. I think we're attracted to music  we can sing along to, or dance to.

If I had to list my top 5 least favorite music genres:

My ex liked opera (he was 41) and he got me into it. We went to several, and I really enjoyed it. My favorite was Die Fledermouse, and I recommend that to any "beginner". It's in English, it's an operetta, so there's actually a lot of spoken dialogue instead of all sung, it's a comedy, and the music is very recognizable.

I'm 29, btw.
