  1. No.....my daughter is dreading school because she is going to a new high school in a new state. She is a total stress ball! While I never usually look forward to the start of a new year, I am looking forward to her beginning because with each day comes more and more stress and I can not seem to ease that for her. Starting school is the only thing that will make her see that her worry was all for nothing.

I am buying a bottle of the finest wine I can afford today and the morning I drop her off I am drinking the entire bottle................

  2. I have one left in school, the others are all grown, He didn't want to go back to school, he does love being home with mom. My fault, he's 10 and my pride and joy. He does very well in school and is on honor roll, but he is always telling me that sometimes he feels sad to be away from me. I at times enjoy him at home, and times I LOVE the peace and quiet!, But yes, i am glad schools back in. I just wish he stops with the sadness of being away from mom.

  3. well i'm a kid not a parent but

i can't wait to go back to school

ive been wanting to go back since July.

although I'm sad to see Summer leave, i like school and meeting new people.

  4. My daughter is ecstatic to go to school full time for grade 1 plus we're in a  new school and she's dying to go now

I hated school when I was her age, they must be doing something right these days!

Myself I am not looking forward to her going, I have a 3 yr old who'''ll be lost without his playmate--the 2 of them have been busy all summer long playing.

  5. Yes!  My daughter is getting excited.  She will be going to preschool a few days a week for a couple hours each day.  We also registered her in a dance class, so she is super excited about that, and I'm getting quite excited too.  My daughter is at the sitter's while I work full time, so school time is just the same as the rest of the year.  Although I'm sure the babysitter is gonna enjoy those couple hours off here and there now!

  6. My kids 15-10-6 can't wait to start (next thursday).  I am looking forward to some time since my 6 yr old will be in full day.  This is the first time in 15 years that I won't have someone home!  I will miss them, but am looking forward to this next stage in my life!

  7. No. My kids are BOILING with stress, anger, fury, and a little worry (even though its the same school. They all loathe school. My 10 year old Said once "They should make a gum they send home that you chew and become smarter" Also, They loathe homework sooooooooooooo much! I always hear my kids groaning, growling, and murmuring. I agree partially,  I think kid's minds are worn for the day after school. They don't need homework to be smarter. My kids are doing very well in school, they have a humongous vocabulary, they are clearly the best kids (under 12) at computers! they do stuff regular kids will think is soo boring. They know how to install programs, they go on wikipedia, ect. and at the dinner table, I often tell them about famous people.

  8. Yes and No.

14 year old is looking forward to it because there are friends she hasn't seen since June, we live in a rural area and it's far to drive for most of her friends.  She's nervous about it too though because there are people she cut ties with over the summer (bad influence people) that she's worried might have influence over her again when she sees them.  She knows she is easily pressured and is clean right now so we're all having reservations about that.

12 year old is starting high school and he's nervous, as he should be.

As for me, the quiet will be nice but I'm nervous about the drugs being around so much.  I know there are dealers in their school.  We were able to breath a little this summer, but it's back to High Alert.

  9. my daugter starts all day kindergaten, I'm excited for her, and a little quite time and one less kid in th house won't be so bad either.

SHe is a little excited, she is nervous about meeting new friends.

  10. My 11 year olds can't wait because their going into Middle school. My 15 year old is going to be a 10th grader. He's excited, i guess. I recently signed up my 2 year old for a "school" type thing which is 6 1/2 hours of Playtime, and learning. I'm happy..I guess...LOL

  11. My kids, 6-11 yo started school Monday (the 25th) and they could hardly wait.  By the first day of school, I thought my 6yo daughter was going to explode, lol.

Even with all the craziness of school.. I'm glad it started.  I love having my kids home, but I also enjoy being able to do things by my self.
