I am not the best in shape as i didnt train as well for track so i noticed while running the 400m my legs started hurting at the last homestretch of the 400m, and i felt tired, is this normal, or is it beacause i didn't train enough ? Usually when im the best in shape i dont get tired or my body doesnt hurt..

  1. Yes, everyone's legs burn the last 100 of the 400.

It is the lactic acid build up in your muscle.

Doing stress intervals trains your body to tolerate higher levels of lactic acid so you can run faster without seizing up near the finish.

You can actually get better with enough training so this feeling is not so bad.

  2. if you went all out on the 400m then yes your legs should be hurting but i recommend u stretch your legs before and definitely after you run so you won't cramp up!

  3. no not at all

  4. Your legs should burn out after any run..Even if its a 100m.. As runenrs we tend not to give it our all and hold back becuase we are scared of the pain..but really the pain isnt that bad its all mental..so any time you feel burned out, you ran as hard as you could.. or you just took the race easy and kicked hard at the end ( wich is not running to your full capability).. So i think that it is good that you felt burned out
