Ok, so I was just thinking. Do your looks only come from genetics? Or do you think that your surroundings can help shape the way you look? Do you get some looks on your own???

This is just a random as h**l question I had, so I asked, please don't yell at me or call me names.

  1. I don't see how your surroundings have any affect on your looks. Unless, there is a problem because the mother breathed in or ingested something that she shouldn't have, and their was a defect with the child. Otherwise, normal, healthy babies come from their gene pool.

    Have a great day!

  2. My lack of looks are genetics.  My looks are Maybelline, Almay, Ms. Clairol, Mary Kay, and just the tiniest of touches from Christian Dior.

Seriously, of course our environment affects us.  Genetics determine what our outcomes might be, but how we treat ourselves determines a large part of what we actually get.

Style is often totally dependent on environment.  Environment frequently determines the rate at which we show age.

I was raised on a farm, but from a young age, I used sun screen on my face.  Now my face is relatively smooth for my age, but my arms, where I did not always use the expensive sun screen, are browned, more wrinkled, and freckled.

  3. Looks are based on genetics but I can see how surroundings can affect how you look. For instance if you live in a cold area you will probably be thinner and pale looking rather than living in a hot area you will be tanner and maybe heavier. Also, I know its weird but have you ever noticed that when a person hangs out w/ a certain race, they begin to kinda look like them? Maybe its just me seeing this, who knows. lol.

  4. yes, looks come from genetics. style on the other hand, comes from society.
