  1. I would thinks so.  If you just got them off, then wait a day or so.  If they are still sore, I would call your orthodontist or dentist.  Chances are, the pain would go away within a couple of weeks, probably much less.

My guess if you were to call now, you'd be told to take some Advil.

  2. a little. a lot of pressure is off your teeth and they also want to move back. so yes.

  3. YEA THEY ARE CUZ THEY JUST TOOK OFF SOMETHING THATS PROBABLY BEEN THERE FOR 2 YEARS.....JUST RELAX DUDE!!!!CHILLAX!!!

  4. Ben,  I am sure you know that it is not the teeth but rather the gums that get sore and hurt.  The trauma of the braces in place being just removed likely means the gums are inflamed or possibly swollen.  The swelling is likely the cause for the soreness.  There is a small possibility of infection, but if your gums still look a healthy pink color, the swelling and pain should be disappearing.  You could call the dentist who removed your braces and ask whether you could apply some over-the-counter medicine like Orajel to help numb the sore gum area.  Orajel can give you immediate relief of toothaches, mouth sores/cold sores, tooth sensitivity and denture pain.  Good luck!
