  1. Area of a triangle = 1/2 base x height

    shortened to:   A = 1/2bh

    The height is measured at right angles to the base (a right angled triangle makes this easy).

    A = 105

    h = 14

    b = ?

    now plug in the values:

    105 = 1/2 b x 14

    solve:

    divide both sides by 14:

    105/14 = 1/2b x 14/14

    7.5 = 1/2b

    multiply both sides by 2:

    7.5 x 2 = 1/2b x 2

    15 = b

    The base is 15 units long

  2. Given:area=105

               height=14 units

    area of triangle=1/2*base*height

    therefore,105=1/2*b*14

                         b=105/7

                            =15

    therefore base=15units

  3. well, area = 1/2 x base x height

    so base = 105/0.5 / 14

    = 15 units
