why is it so private?

There&#039;s tons of rumors and stories about the base.  All we know for sure is that in the past it was used for testing of the most modern and secret aircraft.  It makes sense to think the same type of stuff is still going on there, so of course its gonna be super high security.  You can look at it on Google Earth.  Looks like a normal base except for that 4.5 mile long runway, and those underground hangars, of course!

Groom Lake is a top secret facility in Southern Nevada which is used for testing and development of aircraft and other weapons systems. So, it is in the same category as Oak Ridge, Los Alamos, Stoney Brook Long Island and the area under the grandstands of the University of Chicago&#039;s Stagg Field was during World War Two when we were developing the atomic bomb.

Because it&#039;s a top-secret military air base. That&#039;s where they developed the stealth bomber, among other highly classified aircraft, which caused many strange sightings that people mistook for alien craft because nothing they had ever seen fly looked like the craft in the sky over roswell. Except now there has been so much interest in it and so many people working so hard to expose the secrets and publish books and show TV specials that supposedly they closed it and have a different place where they&#039;re developing the aircraft of tomorrow. But they still maintain tight security at area 51 and recently moved back the border. There used to be a mountain top where people would look on with telescopes. Now that spot is closed and you have to go to the next mountain further away. Either they&#039;re trying to keep people from discovering their old secrets or they were lying when they said they closed it. My money is on the latter.

Area fifty one holds the United States most guarded Military n National secrets many of todays new technology has bin brought from there it is located in a desert i think nevada if u even come close to it no matter who u r the government as a right to kill u on sight . Any time satalites go over the base al items are withdrawn inside the base so enemy cannot steal info that is area 51 the USA&#039;s trumpcard

Because that is where they test new technology, like the U2,  the Blackbird, and whatever new aircraft has been and they might be developing.  Bob Lazar claimed that he worked there and said that they were reverse engineering captured alien technology.  Some people believe that allowing people to believe that they are seeing UFOs, when they are actually seeing new technology, is a good way to hide its existence.  If that is so, I wonder why there are organizations like CSI, formerly known as SciCop, before that CSIPC, and were and are people like Phillip Klass, who are dedicated to debunking any UFO reports.  Who knows, but I have seen reports that toxic substances were burned there, which caused illness and deaths.  To the best of my knowledge those people who became ill or died and/or their families never received compensation, because Area 51 did not officially exist.

Joe, the Roswell crash happened in 1947 north of Roswell, NM.  Area 51 was established in 1955 to test the U2 spy plane.  Before that it was just used for bombing practice during WW 2.   Arizona is between Nevada and NM.  I used to live in Roswell.

Area 51 is so private because it holds a **** load of government secrets, that if exposed could have many side effects. Some things tht would be exposed could send the world into panic, or into extreme inpatiency. It is heavily guarded from alot of people patrolling around the building 24/7 and people guard it miles from the base.

Alot of people claim that the gov&#039;t has posession of aliens in there and do research on UFOs and other govt secrets and flying cars and alot of **** they are working on for the future. I wouldnt be surprised they have a flying cars being worked on in there.
