Aren't AVON reps obsolete since customers can purchase through AVON online themselves?

  1. Definitely not.  

    1) Avon pushes customers that go online to buy Avon to select an Avon rep to associate with and then that rep gets a commission for the sale.

    2) I can't get any of my customers to order from my website...even for rep delivery.  

    Not all people like using the internet to make purchases.  Avon needs to be competitive and offer both options


  2. No, using your logic, Macy's, Target, Best Buy, and every other company that has both a physical location and a website would be obsolete. People have to go to the site for them to sell anything, and a rep initiates a sale. Both working together make companies profitable.
