In my town in eastern Oregon gas is over $4

4.08 lowest we have three gas stations

Here in New Zealand unleaded petrol is over $2 - it was $1.30 about 10 months ago!

Well, I'm told that South Carolina has the lowest gas prices in the East Coast....Ha!

I paid about $140. dollars last week just going back and forth to work!

The cheapest gas I could find was $3.87 per gallon and it cost me approximately $50. every time I fill up...When the tank was half full, I filled up and it came to $38.23...When the tank was on empty, it came to $52. and some change....So I filled up 3 times this past week.

We need help! (sigh!)

Yes they are crazy.

But when I'm spending all my money on filling up my car I think of the environment and how everyone is now making an effort not to drive everywhere because they have to! Very cool.

they're not crazy at all. the higher they get, the happier i get. my car gets good gas mileage (30+) and i don't drive much. i love it because americans are so obsessed with status! when i see women driving full-size and even super-duty trucks as their daily driver, it just makes me sick to my stomach. it should be illegal! what's the point of owning a huge SUV? status of course! 90% of people who own excursions, hummers, jeeps, suburbans, etc, wouldn't dare drive the vehicle on anything but pavement! most would probably refuse to even drive on a dirt road! i hope it hits $10 a gallon ASAP!

yesssssssss its about 3.70 a gallon here in texas, and i heard its gonna go up to 5$ during this summer!!!! and my uncle has to fill up his truck every 3 days, and it costs him 85 bucks!!! crazy huh??!

No... gas prices are high.  If gas prices were crazy, you'd need to bring things in like fourteen bottlecaps, an indian dream catcher, and a rubber chicken to pay for gas.

At least money is easy to get... you don't have to go questing for things like a can of white baked beans.

OMG! I can not belive the prices of gas out here in Palmdale, CA it 4.19 the lowest 5.19 for desiel... And its just going to go up is there any way to stop this??

I've paid $4.04/gallon the other day. Today it was at $4.07. I usually limit myself to putting $50 in each time, but I've been forced to bump it up to $60. It hurts. Gas prices have risen way too quickly the last couple of years. I live in a Seattle suburb, and I don't even go to Seattle anymore due to the hole in my wallet unless I have to.

John_mgd -- It's no laughing matter. An increase in gas prices affects everyone including you. It makes food prices go up, small businesses bankrupt, and airlines tickets sky-rocket.
