  1. stupid question. no. vegetarians eat ONLY plants. no organs or blood or muscle.

  2. You know, I only eat eggplant.  But you're absolutely right!

    I'm an eggplant!

  3. does it matter. ur logic makes sense but b'ing a vegeterian is more of a stop killing animals thing.

  4. no because meat is meat who cares if they eat plants?.

  5. no. vegetarians ONLY eat plants; eating animals which feed on plants deosnt change the fact they are made of meat.

  6. Ha!  Sure why not.  Maybe someone needs to feel less guilty.  Personally, most of the animals would eat me if it was hungry, i dont agree w/ animal testing or fur wearing but i sure love a good steak :)

  7. no...

    meat is meat is meat

    and meat has feelings

if we ate you would we still be vegetarians?

  8. Stop trying to be deep. That was one of the most foolish things I have ever heard.

It's like saying, "Since we are what we eat, and pigs eat their own poo, aren't all people who eat pork, eaters of pig p**p?"

  9. no...omnivores

  10. No, we're dirt. Because plants eat dirt.

  11. What if you eat a lion? Aren't they carnivores too?

  12. mmmm .. .if all bananas are yellows and my walls are yellows are my walls bananas?

  13. not realy i dont eat meat

  14. Nope. Not by the definition of vegetarianism. Vegetarianism is the practice and philosophy of a diet that excludes all animal consumption slaughter by-products.

Just because you eat vegetarian animals does not make you one too. Nor does it make you eating them a by product of vegetarianism. Since normally you still eat vegetables and fruits and not just animals. And since animal is not a plant and is more a human, technically animal eaters are closely more cannibals.

Also we are not what we eat...

  15. I, personally, only eat animals that ONLY eat plants, which makes me a Vegan, not just a vegetarian. So many people do not watch what they eat these days, but I am very careful to eat only grain-fed beef and chickens that have been kept safely in small cages and fed only food made of plant material. I don't eat fish at all, 'cause you can never be sure about those suckers...

  16. That is really stretching it. Plants don't eat plants. Plants get their energy from the sun and nutrients from the ground. The nutrients in the ground come from plants and animals that have decomposed. So are plants carnivores? lol

  17. No well atleast i am not vegiterians means that you dont eat meat so yeah!!

  18. No cause the animal is still made of meat even though it may not eat meat. Just like a cannibal who ate vegetarians would still be a cannibal cause we are still Made of meat even though we don't eat it. Hope that made sense!

  19. Interesting thought. My Dad use to say, "If God didn't intend us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat." I always thought that was funny.

Also, I just noticed your screen name, and to that I say "We are eating meat, and so we are suppose to eat meat, since this is the best of all possible worlds." :)

  20. When working at the lunch counter, people would ask me for vegetarian pizza.  I would always explain that we had two kinds of vegetarian pizza - the kind made for vegetarians, and the kind made *with* vegetarians.

    (((((glossy)))))

  21. Vegetarians do not eat animals.

It doesn't matter if the animals are made of plants.

  22. Wow...You must have had a long weekend to be spouting remarks like that.  Sorry.  Flesh is not a vegetable.  If you eat meat you're not a vegetarian no matter how much JD you guzzle Friday through Sunday night.

Even my son would be confused by your logic.  He's 7.

  23. Not really. Your not a vegetarian if you eat meat. If you are what you eat, the meat-eaters are cows and stuff, so technically they're still carnivores.

  24. I had pizza tonight.  I'm pizza.

  25. No, because most people eat things besides vegetables and other non-animal products.  As if things weren't confusing enough here's a primer for you:

-Vegetarian: For the purpose of membership of IVU, vegetarianism includes veganism and is defined as the practice of not eating meat, poultry or fish or their by-products, with or without the use of dairy products or eggs.

Often broken down further into OVO-LACTO, and LACTO. Vegetarians may or may not try and minimize their non food use of animals like vegans.

-Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian: same as VEGAN (see right), but also eats eggs and milk products. This is the most 'popular' form of Vegetarianism in many Western countries..

-Lacto Vegetarian: Same as VEGAN, but also eats milk products.

-Veggie -- Shortened nick-name for a VEGETARIAN; often includes VEGANs.

-Strict vegetarian: originally meant vegan, now can mean vegan or vegetarian.

-Vegan: excludes animal flesh (meat, poultry, fish and seafood), animal products (eggs and dairy), and usually excludes honey and the wearing and use of animal products (leather, silk, wool, lanolin, gelatin...).

The major vegan societies all disallow honey, but some "vegans" still use it. Some "vegans" also refuse to eat yeast products.

-Dietary Vegan: follows a vegan diet, but doesn't necessarily try and exclude non-food uses of animals.

  26. You are way out of sync. Plants and animals are all living things. Vegetarians try to eat only those things that have a low vibration rate, and do not feel pain as keenly as those with higher vibrations ( animals ). Which is why vegetarians eat plant stuff. Also, it is a known fact that heavy meat eaters suffer from a variety of diseases that do not affect vegetarians. If you know what is good for you, you'll be a vegetarian, and stop this fancy reasoning.

  27. if we're what we eat then we're cannibals. Not vegetarians, we'd have to only eat plants, no flesh

  28. Base to this...

i surely feel that’s the way society is going. Thousands of people every minute are becoming vegetarians.

  29. no if you eat meat you are not, also eating meat eaters like lions is unhealthy.

  30. I don't think it works that way.  Sure, the original fuel for the food chain is plant food, and that's eaten by herbivore animals.  As a matter of fact, very few of the animals humans normally eat are anything other than herbivores; the meat is too "gamy" if the animal eats meat.  But a vegetarian is a human (ordinarily omnivores) who chooses to eat as an herbivore.  Or at least a vegan: some vegetarians don't object to milk, cheese or eggs.

Now it's a fact that herbivore animals need to spend a great deal of time eating in order to get enough nutrition.  And since humans need a good bit of protein, there is also the problem of whether they can and do eat enough protein.  Again, even more of a problems for vegans than simple vegetarians.  I'm especially troubled by children being raised vegetarian, because their growth depends on protein.  Especially the growth of their brains.

  31. No, because an animal dies.
