Aren't we suppose to have equal health insurance in America?

I don't know if you saw that documentary on Canada health policy but people their don't complain because they don't half to wait long lines and are able to get their meds and any health care they need. Not like the USA. If you don't have insurance and you have a life threatening problem you will most likely die. This is why I always say the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Everyone should have equal health insured here in the USA and no one should not die because their insurance policy has denied it or just because they don't have an insurance plan. This is America people. Aren't we suppose to be the country who cares? Its that why we are in Iraq fitting because we want to help people and their rights. Then why is it not the same for us here in the USA. Or do we only help people in other countries and not our own fellowmen

Everyone (who wants it) should have access to basic health insurance.  The fact (and it is a fact) that it is possible for someone to be unable to get insurance who wants it is moronic and needs to be fixed.

That being said, we aren't supposed to have equal health insurance.  We should all have access to basic preventative and emergency health insurance.  You should also be able to get more if you are willing to pay extra.

NO, actually we are the country of FREEDOM, LIBERTY and RIGHTS.  You as an American have the right to fail and the right to succeed, and it's ALL on you.  So quit whining, get a job, get some insurance if you think you should (but don't try to force me to, or to pay for yours), or move to f...ing Canada.

Our health care is much better than canadas.  Seriously hurt canadians come here because they cant get treated there.  Dont fall off of a ladder in canada.  

Why does canadian and european health care suck? because the government cant run anything.   Do you think our food would be better if the government took over restaurants?

Should they do my job of selling things to people?  Do you think the person they hand my job will work hard if he cant get fired?

But if i was totally broke i could get my same coverage free from new york state.  Then i wouldnt get a job, because i would have to pay for my health care again.  So everyone does get health care, and there is nothing to get upset about.  

You should know this stuff before you start sounding off and get angry.  The people in the media telling you these things are liars.

Yes all Americans should have equal Health insurance. No one should be denied any surgery or medications. So even if Americans do get their insurance from their job or pay for it themselves their policy can deny any exams or procedures they may need done. And I can't believe Americans allow this to their fellow man and no one in congress steps up to these big insurance companies. If we pay taxes everyone should have equal health care. Like you said the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

P.S. My mon has been to the hospital 3 times in the past 2 months and because she has no insurance they don't give her the proper care and they send her home the same day. Where is the proper health care fro my mother? She paid here taxes?

People in Canada do complain about their health care.. but I would sure complain a lot less if I had to wait in a line than if I had to pay thousands of dollars on health insurance that i may or maynot need

I think you mean "Have to wait in lines". I like to choose where my charity goes.

Many people who are disabled, etc, already get health insurance. Taking money from one person, or a group of people, and giving it to another is socialism, period.

And where is this money going to come from? More taxes on the wealthy? They pay far more taxes per dollar than the middle class, so that is hardly fair. And the middle class is complaining about not enough tax CUTS, this would require a tax HIKE.

Like you said, this is America. Where we give people the opportunities to get an education, be hired for a good job, and take care of themselves.

No, we aren't supposed to have equal heath care. We're supposed to all have the opportunity to get the best health care in the world- which we do.

I currently live in a country with "free" socialized medicine. But if I became seriously ill, I would be on the first plane back to the U.S. (even without health insurance). Better to be in debt than dead. Socialized medicine brings down the quality for everyone. I know, I've seen it firsthand. The standard is so far below the U.S. you wouldn't believe it.
