  1. I am sad too - just watched the closing ceremony.  I love the Olympics, summer more than winter.  And the great stories like the girl from S. Africa with only 1 leg who competed in the open swim.  Or the runner from Somalia who finished 12 seconds behind the winner, and the whole stadium cheered her on.

Just great stories of people coming together to compete and celebrate.  I'm also a bit spoiled because the US usually does well and I can cheer our folks on.  Seems like I was just jumping around my living room after Lezak beat Bernard to the wall in the first men's relay.

Maybe I'll actually go to London for the next games.  Anyone want to go with me??

  2. NO, I had a crying towel as I watched what was once one of the best boxing programs in the world with USA turn into a group of underachieving losers(NOT ONE MEDAL out of the entire team). I also felt like I was going to have ulcers from watching that Gold Medal Match in Men's Basketball.

  3. yea i hate that its done i love the olympics they r my favorite event ever i base my year around them and now i dont know what to do

  4. i'm depressed.

time to start training for the olympic trials, though.

  5. Yeah. Now there's nothing good to watch on TV.

  6. I thought I was the only person that was seriousley sad yesterday during the closing ceremony! I mean, now that I was on vacation from school, I would watch the olympics all morning and stay up till 2:30 am, watching them at night, too. I dont know why, but there is always that feeling..I dont know how to explain it but it's kind of like "man, they barely started and now it's already over" or " now we have to wait for four more years..". I guess I just get sad because I start wondering "Will they be back in four years? Will it be the same?"..

It wont feel the same in four years.. and there is no way anyone can compare with the show China put on! It was awesome!! =]

  7. Yes, very. Though am looking forward to the next World Cup in South Africa.
