    The royals in Britain are just paid for British heritage, I mean, what else have we got to live for in this country?

  3. O.K.  Suppose we get rid of the Monarchy and decide to elect a President along the lines of the US, France, Germany, Russia.

    Who do you think pays for their stay in Office.  They certainly don't fund it out of their own pockets. Would you if you were President?

    Who pays for the upkeep of places like the White House?

    Who pays the gardeners?  Who pays the cleaners? Who pays the heating bills?  Who pays for the State Occasions?

    Who pays for the Secretarial services?  Who pays for the limos?

    It comes back to the same thing surely?  The tax-payer!

    Weaken the structure of a Country and you weaken the people.
