Argentina entered the competition two duos, which consisted of Gallay-Virginia Zonta and Silvana Olivera-Georgina Klug. The home tandems had spent enough time in training and practice, which helped them to clinch the Olympic berth. The actual credit goes
to their coaches Pablo Bernardi and Cristian Jacob, who put in a great effort to prepare the teams.
The thrilling action of Continental Cup finals started off on Saturday, June 2 and completed its run on Sunday. The opening day featured the semi-finals, while the final showdown took place on the second day. With the advantage of familiar condition, Argentina
cruised past to success in all their fixtures.
Previously, Mauritius and South African claimed the Olympic berths through their respective Continental Cup finals. Argentina also showed ambition and joined the Olympic Qualifiers.
In the men’s competition, which took place in Venezuela, the hosts totally dominated the scene. The duos of Jackson – Mussa, and Hernandez-Fane represented the host country Venezuela. They edged out Bussines-Salinas and M.Grimalt-Grimalt from Chile, in order
to win the Olympic berths.

to be too good for the Olympic slots.
According to the set formula of the International Volleyball Federation, a total of five spots per gender are on stake through the Continental Cup. In the next run, the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), Confederation European de Volleyball (CEV, and
