Argentina’s national team coach, Alejandro Sabella has gone on to admit that Lionel Messi needs to be happy to perform. The manager feels that the forward needs to feel important, while being allowed freedom to do what he does best. Should the player not
be awarded all those liberties, his performances often suffer.
The brilliant forward has gone on to break countless records for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. However, the player seems to not be able to do the same, when he takes to the field with the national team. Many have often associated this with the player’s inability to play with
players, who are not amongst the best in the world, but his national team manager feels otherwise.
Sabella took charge of Argentina when the team travelled to Kolkata to play an international friendly.
The game proved to be a little more challenging than Argentina were expecting, but a superbly taken corner from Messi resulted in Nicolas Otamendi heading the ball into the back of the net, in order to help the Argentines cruise to a one goal to nil victory.
Sabella was more than happy with the way Messi performed during the game and admitted that the Argentine captain probably played his best game for his country that day.
When talking about Messi and how to get him to perform at a maximum, Sabella is quoted to have said:"We must let him be happy"
"We must let him play completely freely on the pitch.
"I am waiting for him to score. We must give him the tranquillity. He is the best player in the world."
Argentina are now set to take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nigeria-c2970 in an international friendly. Considering the fact that Nigeria beat Argentina’s B team by four goals to one, it seems like Sabella will be looking to get some revenge on his opponents.
However, when talking about the upcoming game, the Argentine manager is quoted to have said: "I don't think revenge is a good word"
"It's a different game. It's a different country. A neutral country. We don't have too much time to prepare.
"I am a new coach. I just started to know all the players and the players started to know me."
Despite that fact, considering Messi is now going to captain his country against Nigeria, he is going to go all out and try and run the show once again. The attacking maestro has already proven his worth in the past and will be looking to do the same once
again, once his team steps onto the pitch.
