  1. BA and the Patagonia.

  2. Buenos Aires has a lot to offer: Tango shows in San Telmo, lovely neighbourhoods like Palermo (with lots of pubs that offer a variety of music shows, I personally recomend the Irish pub Dubliners and a band that plays there every 15 days, Flying Haggis), Puerto Madero (very expensive but first category restaurants), Recoleta, among others.

If you travel to the other provinces, be sure to go to the Iguazu Falls located in Misiones (remember that you'll need a special permission to pass to the Brazilian side, but Argentinian's offers the best view); you should spend about 3 or 4 days there, not more because there's not a lot to do other than watching the falls.

Mendoza is the capital of wine, and has a lot of rivers in which you can do a variety of cool sports, like rafting.

The glaciers zone is VERY expensive, even considering the relation 3 dollars = 1 argentine peso.

If you go to the very north, you'll find Salta and Jujuy, and their mountains of seven colours. Plus, I could put you in contact with a friend of mine who works with the Wichis (indians from Salta). Every year, a group or two of french people go to Salta for a week to live with those people, see that extremely different reality and offer their help to build or paint houses for them. I'm going on November, can't wait !

If there's anything else you'd like to know, send me a message.

And of course, be sure to enjoy your stay!

  3. You must visist  "San Antonio de Areco". Its a small and very old rural town  where you can see and learn a lot about the Argentinian  roots. It has big farms and you can stay there to see how  the "gauchos" (rural people) works.

  7. Bariloche and the Andes. The closer you can get to Aconcagua, the better. You can also go to the very south, to Patagonia, if you are in an adventurous mood.

  8. You sould start by touring Buenos Aires, specifically there is an area called 9 de Julio, which is the widest steet in Argentina, where the large tower is. There is a place in Argentina called La Ricolleta, every Sunday they sell things. The ocean side there is very nice (Mar Del Plata) Also the south of Argentina Perito Moreno, that is where the glaciers are. Iguazo is very nice to visit. You will enjoy every minute of it, I am half Argentinian and I've been there and once you go there you do not want to leave. Enjoy your visit in the City of Tango, also if you are interested in the dance of Tango, there are full of Tango shows to see

  9. Buenos Aires.

    Ushuaia and Perito Moreno Glacier.

Bariloche(lakes region) and Mendoza (wine region)

Salta,Jujuy (up north, very charming, colonial places)

    Iguazu Falls ( breathtaking)

Many places to visit, Argentina is huge, the 8th largest country in the world. You can choose from Beaches to Glaciers, Rain Forest , Huge cosmopolitan city and Deserts.

One thing is for sure, you'll love it.

  10. Definitly Iguazu!!!! Calafate is wonderful, if you ski: bariloche or more expensive: San martin de los andes. Like wine and seeing vineyards?: Mendoza, there's also rafting there level 3+. In the capital of buenos aires: Capital federal: great restaurants in Recoleta. the cementary in Recoleta (where Evita is buried) is amazing, better than any New orlean cementary (architecture, statues, etc), museums, San telmo, great eating and night life along with alot of antique stores,

    Good luck!!
