Argentina or Spain?

I'm a Spanish major but I'm also pre-med and it's about time for me to decide where I will be traveling abroad. I have two places in mind : Buenos Aires, Argentina or Madrid or Barcelona, Spain. Of course there are pros and cons to each but I'm just struggling with which place I may like best. My biggest struggle is traveling once my studying has finished. I want to stay in either of the two countries and I'm interested in which each country/continent has to offer me. I very much enjoy the nightlife, as well as hiking/backpacking to see places of natural beauty and spending time in parks reading, doing homework and I would love to be able to spend time with natives of the country(I'm very big into meeting new and hospitable/friendly people). Please let me know what you think of the two and hopefully your answers will help me make a decision! Thanks!

  1. I think that both are great! It all depends on your preferences.

To help you choose you can read about studying abroad in Spain here:

    And Argentina here:

    Good luck!

  2. I can vouche for Spain.

I've been to Spain more than twice and for more than a month at a time. I love it's culture and weather. It is the best for me. It's very different than America with the way the buildings are set up. All the people I have met seemed really nice and there was alot of local shops everywhere. Local shops meaning family owned but along the side of the family owned shopped were huge designer names in Barcelona. If you want to study in the park just be aware of all the Vespers (little motercycle bikes, you know. That thing.) They pass by alot so it might be distracting.

One plus to going to Spain is there is France and the UK really close to it which are also very different from America. So maybe you could visit there while you stay in Spain.

If you do go visit france tho,

Watch out for France's air tho! It's so smokey!

ANDD you have to visit Biaritz! It's the NICEST beachh.

Who knows? You might actually want to work in a surrounding area of Spain.

  3. Both countries are truly beautiful, but I recommend Spain. The main reason I recommend it is because it is located in Europe. There is certainly something about that European class that is remarkable. I hope this works out for you and best of luck!

  4. omg you have to go to both! don't even chose. this yr go to spain and the next yr go to argentina, vice versa.
