Argentina successfully hosts technical course on Setting – Volleyball news
An FIVB Technical Coaches Course on Setting completed its length from April 13-17 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The International Volleyball Federation joined hands with National Volleyball Federation of Argentina to conduct this training activity for coaches.
The FIVB Development Centre in Buenos Aires, Argentina provided the backdrop for the course and fully facilitated the attendees. A total of 18 coaches from Argentina, Colombia, and Brazil attended the course and benefitted the amazing opportunity. Cuban
Argelio Pascual Hernández Rodríguez performed his duties as the official FIVB Instructor and quite efficiently supervised the operations of the course.
Last year, the same Development Centre in Argentina provided the backdrop for a Technical Course on defensive liberos. Following the successful completion of libero course, the International Volleyball Federation put Argentina on the 2012 Coaches Courses
and Technical Seminars Calendar. Hence, it marked the second time that Argentina Development Centre hosted the FIVB Course.
In the next run, Argentina will also play host to two more courses. The FIVB middle-player seminar is scheduled to take place from June 1-5, while the FIVB Level II Course will be held in the month of August.
The Technical Course on Setting kicked off on Friday and Development Centre director José María Cuadrillero received the participants on behalf of the National Volleyball Federation. The attendees were brought to the FIVB Development Centre, which was equipped
with all necessary tools of the course.
The Argentina Volleyball Federation set up proper classrooms and provided audio and visual supports to the participants. The main objective of the course was to help the coaches to improve their knowledge of setting in the game of volleyball. They were introduced
to the most recent and modern trends of the game.
The International Volleyball Federation organises these Technical Seminars programmes, in order to improve the knowledge and competences of volleyball players and coaches. The seminars usually feature experienced Volleyball coaches and instructors, who share
their knowledge of the game with the participants. The FIVB conducted another Technical Course on Setters within the same timeframe in Costa Rica. Both courses produced positive results and ended up on a good note.
