was his outstanding tackling abilities which were severely after his substitution and that is exactly why the Argentineans conceded a quick goal in the early minutes of the second period.

A wonderful performance given by the Argentinean captain – simply showed the world why he is wearing the captain’s armband for the Argentinean side. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 holding midfielder barely missed a tackle and was crucial in terms of breaking play. Even though
he is famous for his rugged tackles on the opposition players, he barely fouled a player throughout the game and helped Argentina retain possession in the midfield. The only problem with him was the fact that he tried to play long balls forward which usually
found an opposition’s player. In the first half he relied too much on short passes which worked better, compared to the second half in which he threw the ball forward and waited for an Argentinean striker to get a hold on to it. Over all it was an exemplary
performance given by the Argentinean captain who really helped his team stay alive in the game.
Ever Banega – 7.0
Despite his assist, Ever Banega couldn’t really produce magic in the centre of the pitch. Banega was chosen as an attacking midfielder for the Argentinean side but he barely helped the team in making a move forward. He was all over the place throughout the
first half and it seemed as if his position was not clearly defined. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 fell back into the attacking midfield as Banega joined the team in
the central midfield where he could operate with much ease. The first period of the game for him was pathetic; however, he made up for it in the second half after his wonderfully chested assist towards Sergio Aguero.

The Manchester City http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 played in the centre forward position; however, the formation did not really work out
for the Argentineans. Later, Tevez moved into the centre forward role with the inclusion of Angel Di Maria, who operated on the left wing while Lionel Messi played in the attacking midfield. Carlos Tevez was a silent figure throughout the second half despite
being in his favourite position. Much was expected from the Manchester City man and the Premier League golden boot winner but he simply couldn’t combine with the rest of the Argentinean squad.
