Argentina vs. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 2011 (Part 2)
Ever Banega – 5.5:
It was another poor performance given by the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 midfielder. He was so poor in the midfield that Lionel Messi and Lavezzi often had to fall deep in order to take the ball from the midfield. His passes were simply not connecting and he couldn’t really
fit in the Argentinean line up. It seemed as if he was playing out of his position.
Lionel Messi – 6.5:
The “best player in the world” needs to forget this game in order to continue performing at a higher level. His dribbling was poor, he was stumbling, he couldn’t deliver good corners, his free kick was blasted into the third stand and he fell down while
receiving a pass. Either the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 was playing like a young player introduced into the first team. However, one of his through balls found Lavezzi who couldn’t
finish the ball into the net.
Ezequiel Lavezzi – 5.0:
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Yepes-c24052 who simply got the best
out of him throughout the game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez – 6.5:
The Manchester City http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314 tried his best to win it for his team. He tried everything but his position was simply not well defined. He was stretched out to the left and that position simply did not suit him. One of his strikes was blocked by Kun Aguero
and that is the best chance that he had throughout the game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Gago-c13652 – 5.5:
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid star did not have much time to prove himself as he replaced Cambiasso during the second half. He rarely received the ball and didn’t take much time to get booked after a thump in the nose to a Colombian player trying to tackle him down.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero – 6.0:
He replaced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 and was expected to score just like he did in the first match. The crowd went wild while he was entering the pitch as he was expected to do wonders for his side. He added a lot of pace into the team and had an outstanding opportunity
to score when Lionel Messi caught his run with a wonderful through ball. However, he misjudged the ball and it went straight into Martin’s safe hands. Aguero proved yet again that he is better than Ezequiel Lavezzi and he can provide the team with a lot of
pace if he is included in the starting eleven.
Gonzalo Higuain – 6.0:
He was added by Sergio http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Batista-c7379 in place of Ever Banega who was being wasteful in the midfield. His inclusion in the team showed the desperation the Argentineans had and how badly they wanted to find a winner. Higuain, Aguero, Tevez and Messi were all playing
in an attacking role but they still couldn’t find the back of the net. However, Higuain had a great opportunity to score when Tevez’s pass found him open on the left flank but his shot was well deflected by Martins.
