The best player in the world, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 had one of the worst games of his career. With him falling deep into the midfield to collect the ball, his life was miserable. Either he was tired because of so many games that he has played or he was just disappointed
of how his team performed. The Argentinean star could not deliver crosses to the right position, some of his passes were exemplary but the way he managed to hit the free kick into the stands clearly showed that he had a poor game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bolivia-c7828 and he was still included in the first team by Sergio Batista. He was Batista’s first choice of being a centre forward as Carlos
Tevez had to play out wide to the left hand side.
Lavezzi had a very average game as a striker. Messi managed to gift him with a golden opportunity but all he could manage to do was to shoot the ball to the goalkeeper’s foot. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez later took his centre forward role and he was far more threatening
than http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-c13065 Lavezzi.
Tevez was again left out alone on the left flank. He tried a lot to jell in with the team but it was definitely not happening for him. Tevez showed that he cannot play on the left flank but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Batista-c7379 still didn’t really change Tevez’s position throughout the
game. The inclusion of Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero made Tevez stay on the left flank despite not being so effective on that side.
A few tactical changes made by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Batista included the way the Argentineans operated up front. While Lionel Messi featured on the right wing but still fell deep to collect the ball, Tevez and Lavezzi formed a partnership in the centre forward role. Messi
played like a shadow striker while they both played as left and right strikers respectively. However, Lavezzi didn’t have to move much to shift his position while Tevez had to cut in from the left flank to make himself count in the attack.
The midfield was arranged in the same way but the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Zanetti-c18096 played far on the left to give himself some space because of originally being a right-footed player. Milito and Burdisso partnered up in the same way but
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Zabaleta-c29022 was playing too deep into the defensive line. He was not totally on the right hand side; in fact, he made many stops inside the 18 yard box.
The Colombians also rearranged themselves compared to the first match which they played in the South American tournament. Hernan Gomez played a 4-5-1 formation with one holding midfielder which made it look like a 4-1-4-1. Falcao didn’t play as a sole striker
for the team; rather, it was Ramos who played up front. Falcao often switched with Ramos to change the cause of the game.
The goal stopper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Yepes-c24052 formed an outstanding defensive partnership. If it wasn’t for the two of them, the game would have been totally different. Yepes barely missed
a tackle as Lavezzi mostly made runs from his side. Perea was very well settled inside his own box and he did not let the Argentineans take advantage of their pace.
