Argentinean number 9 missed approximately ten chances on goal. Lionel Messi released him four times towards the goal but his shots simply couldn’t find the target. He was replaced by Javier Pastore during the 80th minute and he was given a standing
ovation because of the effort he was trying to put in.
Sergio Aguero – 8.5:
If there was no Lionel Messi involved in the game, Sergio Aguero would definitely be the man of the match for the Argentinean team. He was also one of the four changes made by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Batista in the starting eleven and it really did pay off. The Argentinean
star scored five goals in the last four games played for the Argentinean team. His two goals in this match helped the team take the lead and then double it in order to secure the three points. His clinical finishes have surely secured a first team position
for him. His first goal came with a lot of luck while the second goal was an exquisite finish after an inch perfect pass from Lionel Messi. Aguero’s contribution in the game was phenomenal and he was also one of the best players for the Argentinean team. He
was later substituted for Ezequiel Lavezzi, who often started for the Argentinean team.

The Argentinean midfielder got his chance to impress for the last ten minutes of the game. However, there was only one move which he actually became a part of and it really did pay off. While combining with the substitute Javier Pastore and Lionel Messi,
the team found an opening but Lavezzi only managed to hit the post. Despite the fact that Bilgia was sliding in towards the ball, the ball found the post and not the back of the net.

Even though Pastore came on for 10 minutes to show his traits in the midfield, he still managed to impress. opened up the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904 twice; however, no goal was scored as Messi played deep and didn’t make a run inside the penalty area.

Lavezzi simply showed why he is sitting on the bench. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 star replaced Sergio Aguero with only five minutes in the game. Lionel Messi managed to set him up and his first touch of the ball only managed to hit the post. His frustrations grew furthermore
when he got a silly booking just before the full time whistle and with that booking he is now ruled out of the quarter finals.
