Argentina’s Adolfo Cambiaso confident to win Triple Crown – Polo News
One of the legendary polo players in the World, Adolfo Cambiaso, who is currently holding the Number one position in the World, is quite confident to win the Triple Crown.
The current look of the Cambiaso-led La Dolfina Dubai is quite impressive where each and every member is a master of his position. It is one of the leading candidates for making a winning mark in the ongoing Tortugas Country Club Open Polo Championship,
the first leg of the Triple Crown. The new line-up of La Dolfina is comprised of Cambiaso, Pablo MacDonough, David Stirling and Juan Martin Nero. Interestingly, MacDonough and Nero were members of Ellerstina back in the 2010 season.
The team of La Dolfina Dubai has some of the highest rated polo players. La Dolfina will be looking to put in a tremendous performance with their highly experienced line-up. Though the team has not had a game in tournament as yet, they are looking forward
to make a significant impact in the tournament this year.
Speaking to the media, World Number one Cambiaso stated that they will coordinate their squad step by step, as they can show their best performances and earn important victories throughout the tournament. He further commented that their minds are fixed with
Palermo, which is really significant for them as a team.
Cambiaso said, “The fact is that everyone, the press and the players, talk about Tortugas and Hurlingham, which is fine with me, but when it really matters, they all remember who won at Palermo and they don't remember about the remaining two, so we want
to win at Palermo.”
He was of the opinion the most significant task for them is to win the event in Palermo while they utilise other tournaments to improve their physical order and test the horses. Cambiaso mentioned that they missed the Palermo last year and that they do not
want similar results this year.
La Dolfina was in the finals of the prestigious tournament ten times out of last eleven attempts. The skipper underlined, “None of us four is playing with his best horses at Tortugas, each of us has between 6 and 10 horses kept apart, and the good ones we
shan’t use until the middle of Hurlingham.”
Commenting on the other teams participating in the Triple Crown, leader of La Dolfina stated that they had to think about their line-up and they must try to win the competition. They will have to show impressive work and then they will think about the remaining
teams of the tournament. In his view, the new developments boost the morale of those players who had contested a number of Opens in Argentina.
