Argentinean Women team’s preparation on track for 2011 Youth World Championship
The Argentinean Girls’ Youth Volleyball Team outshone Cuba in the final match of 2011 Baja California International Volleyball Cup on Sunday, April 24.
The girls in ‘navy blue and white’ outfits totally rocked the podium with their game, full of amazing tactics. The Argentinean team claimed victory by posting 2-1 (20-25, 25-20, and 15-11), while Tijuana High Performance Centre in Mexico hosted this battle
for supremacy.
The victory at Baja California International Volleyball Cup provides a solid ground to Argentinean team for upcoming 2011 FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship. The mega event of world’s best under-19 teams is scheduled to run from August 12-21.
The beautiful city of Ankara in Turkey will be the home of action, where different teams will vie for the most prestigious trophy in international age grade Volleyball. The FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship is supposed to feature 16 best teams from all
across the globe. The Argentinean team is also one of the contenders and it has big plans for the mega international event.
Currently, the team is undergoing extensive training and practice, in order to give out a better performance at the Youth World Championship. The Baja California International Volleyball Cup was a part of their preparation process. The team fantastically
availed the opportunity and worked out a great performance at the competition. The Argentinean girls have shown their intent to catch the more limelight with gold-medal victory at the Baja California Cup.
The head coach, Guillermo Caceres is the main source of inspiration for his team. He formulized a wonderful plan at the current competition and enabled his team to capture the top honour. Guillermo is up for the next bigger challenge at 2011 FIVB Girls’
Youth World Championship. He has been a successful mentor of his team so far and he is putting a lot of effort to train them for tougher competitions ahead of them.
The Argentinean team has not been featured in the top four ranking of the Youth World Championship in previous years. This time around, the team is determined to create huge buzz on the scene and to improve their ranking on the world chart.
They are enjoying a top form and success in Baja California has even boosted their morale.
