Argentinean beach volleyball duos start training ahead of new season – Volleyball news
In the wake of 2012 beach volleyball season, the Argentinean team has started the training and practice for upcoming tough competitions.
The team, which comprises of Luciana Forguez, Ana Gallay, Virginia Zonta, and Gabriela Albano, has great plans for the SWATCH FIVB World Tour and Continental tournament. The Argentinean coach Pablo Bernardi is eyeing the Olympic berths for her players.
This season has utmost significance as the 2012 SWATCH FIVB World Tour and the CSV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup will serve as the qualification process for the London Olympic Games and to play at the Olympics is a dream job for any athlete in the world.
That is one of the reasons that Argentine women’s beach volleyball duos have begun their preparations ahead of the season.
In the first session, which will be continued until the end of March, the players will train on the beaches of Mar del Plata and Coronel Vidal. Afterwards, the team will travel to attend the South American Beach Volleyball Tour in Asuncion, Paraguay.
Eventually before the start of first SWATCH FIVB World Tour event Brasilia Open, the Argentinean team will pay a visit to Brazil. They will play friendly matches with local teams, in order to gain experience.
She said, “We have a lot of energy at this point. To be able to qualify for the Olympic Games would give the four players and our delegation a great sense of pride and it is something we want to fulfil all together.”
Furthermore, Gallay added, “We all have a great commitment and therefore we do not stop training. We work double and triple shifts sometimes to get the most out of each of us.”
Pablo Bernardi is the in-charge of all national beach volleyball teams in Argentina. He is an experienced coach and has the ability to lead his players to great heights of fame. He has enabled to earn success at domestic level and now he has the daunting
task to prepare his players in such a way that they would get recognition internationally.
