Question:

Argh. What is it that keeps biting me?!?

I've been sleeping on the sofa, and the next morning, I get some kind of mosquito-like bites, except there's some kind of small welt in the middle, and we keep the air conditioner open in the night...I sprayed mosquito repellent once all over everything, under the cushions, covers, etc., washed the covers, then two days later, sprayed it with a different repellent, but I woke up this morning with new bites (they only begin to itch in the afternoon). My parents also slept on the sofas once, and they said they also got bites.

I know they're from the sofa, because my right side is facing the cushions, and I've got a lot of bites on my right leg, feet, arms, etc.

Please help. They are driving me CRAZY.

  1. little bugs i call no see ems that are living in your couch. ya they suck but they can be gotten rid of with some bug killer.

  2. Chances are its fleas. Best thing I've come across to get rid of them is Bob Martins Flea Bombs costing about £4.50 - £5.00. Its a little cardboard carton which you light and leave the room. The smoke fills the room and gets into every little nook and cranny killing all the fleas.

If you have a dog or cat you will have to treat them as well, their bedding and every room that the animal goes into.

  3. sounds like bed bugs or animal fleas...

  4. It might be fleas, they bite like crazy. I'd sleep in the bath tube before i'd sleep on that couch.

  5. spiders?????

  6. this sounds like an infestation of fleas, they are horrible little things!

You may have to treat your whole house and any pets.

  7. Yes ..get an exterminator as these type of bugs can ruin your living conditions...once the people who traveled would leave their suitcases

outside their house until the clothes were boiled or disinfected as the bed bugs were so bad in public hotels and inns

Also body lice is bad too but you probably don't have lice or crabs..you can see these guys..but bed bugs are very sneaky

  8. try to clean your place properly...

  9. fleas

  10. Sounds like bed bugs - you have to call an exterminator to get rid of them though.  If you can't afford one buy from frontline or some kind of tick/flea product for animals and dap it on you before you sleep on it.  Trust me frontline works on everything, it's how my sister for rid of her stubborn nits lol

  11. maybe fleas have infested the furniture...call the local council to see if they can come & fumigate the room...or change the sofa.

  12. you know what you can do is call round the exterminatorand if they are living in the sofa they will put a big bag around the sofa and seal it then they will put in carbon dioxide and leave it for some time and the bugs in there will die from living off no air just carbon dioxide your sofa will be then fine

or you could just get a new sofa

  13. O R K I N

  14. try picking up the sofa and carrying it to a dump!!!

its can't be good for you :)

  16. mozcitos (no idea how to spell it)

lmao spiders dont bite in the uk

  17. possibly bed bugs.

Some bed bugs are visible and if you pay close attention you can see them and if you see little red blood looking like spots on the cushion then you definetly have bed bugs.

You would have to wash you cushion covers if you can.

If you can't wash the cushion then you would have to call an exterminator or bomb your living room.

watch the bed bugs episode on the tyra banks show on youtube

  18. I would burn the coach

option 2 would be to but a sheet over it.

option 3 get a new couch!

  19. Might be cat/dog fleas. Try squirting the settee with Nuvan Top or other flea demolishing aerosol.

  20. bed bugs, only way to get rid of them is call an exterminator
