  1. Yes, although it is rude and shows lack of respect towards privacy - it is their home, they own it, I just live here until they're ready to give me the boot.

  2. HAHAHAHAHAHA...mine do it too, and yes, it is annoying, but you must remember that though it is your room, they own the house.

The only suggestion I can offer is, try talking to them and explaining that it makes you uncomfortable.  They may not listen, but at least you tried.

    Good luck!

  3. What are you doing in your room that you don't want your Mom to see? ;)  I bet she asks that if you try to talk to her about knocking before entering.

Honestly, it used to drive me nuts when I was a teenager too.  But once I turned 18, graduated from High School, and paid a little money toward room & board while I still lived with my parents for a couple years after, my privacy was respected much more so.

Now I look back on things like this and think of how silly it was to be upset or aggravated over.  We have precious little time to enjoy our lives and our loved ones, so we should make the best of it.  (My Mom died a few months ago - now I totally miss seeing her walking into a room!  So, just try to put it in proper perspective hun.)

  4. You should pay rent, then you have a case, till then welcome to no privacy.

  5. lol nero

  6. No.  Knocking is a strictly observed courtesy in our home.

  7. Why? It's her house, why does she have to ask permission?
