Arghhh Eyeliner help ?

hi ,

i have problems with my eyeliner cos i can always get it perfect on one of my eyes but when it comes to doing the other eye it just doesn't work

like i cant get it to look the same :(

any one got any tips??

practice makes perfect hun keep doing it everyday and you will get the hang of it i was like you when i just started using make up.

It's all about experimenting with eyeliner, and finding out what suits you best. Give yourself about half an hour and some good make up remover and practise a look you want to perfect. It will take time to make it perfect (trust me I've only just perfected my look after using make up for over a year).

It's about finding something that you are comfortable with and that you feel suits you.

According the picture, I'm guessing you're probably having issues with how to properly "wing" out the eyeliner so the angles look the same on both eyes, no?  A difficult task that occasionally even the most skilled artists have trouble perfecting!

A few tips...

-Try looking at your face square in the mirror first.  Lightly put a "dot" of eyeliner at the outermost corner where the line will end.  Do this to both eyes.  It will give you a "target" to draw to instead of just freehanding it.  (And it's much easier to remove a dot of eyeliner than to remove lines and redo.)

-Always hold your pencil at an angle and never straight on.  Your line will flow smoother.

-It helps to use a product like MAC's fluidline or Bobbi Brown's gel liner (as opposed to a pencil) as they glide on effortlessly with a brush.  The line will naturally be easier to control.

-Practice, practice, practice.
