Hi there...hopefully you can offer me some suggestions on what to do about this. Okay, so here's the deal. I've had my Lacie 250GB external (the red lego one) for about 2 years now...I have had no problems with it up until now. I work on a PowerMac G5 and store my client files on my Lacie so they're not sitting on the Mac. Problem is, about 4 days ago, every time I power up my mac when it's connected to the Lacie (even if the power is off on the Lacie), inevitably in between 5-20 mins, the mac will crash...saying "your computer needs to be restarted". I have found that the only way I can keep the mac stable is to disconnect the Lacie altogether so that it won't crash on me. Problem is...my client files are on the Lacie and I normally keep it powered up all day so that I can move files back and forth while I'm working. Any suggestions as to what I can do? Have you ever heard of this happening? I don't think it's a problem with the computer itself, because it seems to run normal when it's not connected to the Lacie. I've had macs now for almost 10 years and have never crashed one more than this G5 because of this problem. Help please!!!!
