Arguing torture?

Question

if you were agruing someone on the basis of torture, what would your main points be??

like say that you were con-torture, you could possible say its against the constitution and threatens the grounds that the democratic government is based upon, but what is a stronger point (s) then this???

I would quote John McCain, who endured it in Viet Nam and said that it simply does not work.

That sometimes it is a necessary evil. People have different views on what constitutes torture. Whats the situation, country, other circumstances?

Look at the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
