Question

Another little debate I found in Reader's Digest...do you agree that this is true? Should it be? Do women face a similar situation?

"In the world of on line dating, a five - foot - eight - inch man has to make $146,000 more a year than a six - foot - tall man to get the same number of dates."

Most women prefer taller men.  Friends tell me that if a guy is 5' 8" or under, he hardly gets any hits.  In fact on some dating websites, the majority of women request the man to be taller than 5' 8."

There's a whole psychology related to height.  Women treat taller men differently than shorter men (I read that somewhere.)  As a woman told my short friend "short men just don't do it for me."

I never found them to be liars. I think you can trust what you read there, unless they say "according to one survey." Then it would be opinion.

This is for the guys who are so concerned if size matters

4 inches = $146,000   ... and they are so concerned that 4 inches is not enough to please a woman.

Interesting.

In a similar vein, I read women with IQs of 100 are the most likely to marry very wealthy men. The belief being that really successful men want wives smart enough to not seem like an idiot, but not TOO smart or successful.

Since the average person doesn't make that much - probably not.    

My bio mom was 6 ft - dad was 5'6" - not much of a concern to them.

It depends on the woman. A man who is six feet tall isn't tall to me since I am about the same height.
