You're not nuts!  Astrologically, it's an odd match, but you can't base your life on horoscopes.  I hope it works out for you, and I don't see why it shouldn't!

Oh, and also, a Leo moon sign means you're slightly compatible anyway, right?  :)  Although you might make a nice contrast at any rate.  Good luck!

there's so much more to our personalities than just our sunsigns. we're made up by 12 houses so it's difficult to say one match is deffinetly wrong. at the end of the day, deep down you know if it will work or not & love conquers all :)
