Arinda Sari Sinaga powers her way to quarter-finals of 2012 Djarum Sirnas Flypower Bali Open

Women’s Singles campaigner Arinda Sari Sinaga of Indonesia played with great precision and ensured her presence in the quarter-final round of Djarum Sirnas Flypower Bali Open on November 6, 2012.
She stamped Shinta Dewayani by registering a favourable result of 21-17 and 21-10 in a 32-minute tussle.
This pre quarter-final match was played at the local badminton complex of Denpasar and both contenders mesmerised the audience with a splendid show of skills.
Arinda, who is fourth seeded player of this tournament, outclassed her opponent technically and tactically to seal her straight-set victory.
She did not lose grip at any stage of the game and sent her compatriot shuttler packing with a 2-0 win.
On the other hand, Shinta put a below par performance and crashed out of the event in a disgraceful manner.
The first set started with couple of gruelling rallies as both contenders made every effort to gain an early advantage but neither of them could make a notable difference.
They remained close on the points table until Arinda made swift progress and established an unassailable lead before the one-minute break.
She maintained that upper hand also in later part of the game and kept her challenger under control all the way to the final stage.
Arinda bagged valuable points at a steady pace and left Shinta far behind with an overwhelming margin of 21-17.
This immediate win boosted her confidence and she played with even more conviction in the following game.
Arinda dominated the overall pace of establishing rallies and gained a decent advantage straight away in the beginning.
She mounted pressure by piling up an indomitable total of 11 before half time and then relished this psychological edge also after the mid-game break.
Though, Shinta strived hard and pocketed some vital points in third quarter of the set but this short campaign was not enough to avoid a straight-set defeat.
Meanwhile, Arinda struck hard when it mattered and locked the honour with a striking knock of 21-10.
Now she is scheduled to meet Berliyan Sudrajat in the round of eight and a win will take her into the semi-finals of this tournament.
