Arinjay Bisht wraps up Boy’s Singles U15 title at Delhi State Badminton Championship 2012
India’s talented player Arinjay Bisht showed his lofty skills on court and nailed Boy’s Singles U15 title after proving his worth against Gunjan Kumar Jha in the final contest of Yonex Sunrise Hot Weather Delhi State Badminton Champion 2012 on Wednesday,
July 18, at Delhi, India.
Arinjay, who was seeded at number two in main draw of Boy’s Singles category, showed his towering craft while playing against the third seeded Gunjan and overpowered him in a spectacular fashion.
The higher ranked Arinjay controlled his nerves in the entire clash and proved his superior skills at the crucial situations. The impressive temperament and positive play helped him to secure an easy win with a wonderful margin.
The lower ranked Gunjan, who has been impressive in the whole tournament tried his best to maintain his positive run in the title match but failed to prove his mettle against Arinjay and bowed down to him in a lopsided fashion in straight games.
The in-form Arinjay, who was composed on court, started to play aggressive badminton right from the opening points of first game and did not take much time in setting up a huge lead over his rival until the mid-game interval.
After the one-minute break, Arinjay continued playing at the same speed and also manipulated all loopholes of Gunjan who was struggling to take the bird early.
The second seeded Arinjay played at his best speed and eventually remained successful in grabbing the opening set of final battle with a comfortable score of 21-16.
In the second game, Gunjan tried to live up to expectations by playing positive badminton in opening rallies but failed to take any benefit as Arinjay was also positive and aggressive in his play.
Both shuttlers were close until the end of opening half of second game as they played at the same speed.
After the interval, Arinjay played with precision while taking the bird early at net and pushed his rival in all areas by executing impressive shots in all corners.
The impressive Arinjay managed to take the second game with a huge margin of 21-15.
Arinjay claimed the title after proving his class against Gunjan in the final encounter and won it with a huge 21-16 and 21-15 score on the board.
